Photography was by no means the road I began on. Instead, it was a simple twist of fate that changed it all. I was a draftsman helping design the cable system in Orlando. When the production department came looking for folks to run the camera at a concert they were shooting. I found myself on top of a van with a camera shooting Alice Cooper and I never looked back.
I left for western Washington State to learn TV and found still photography. Three years in I took the early draft went to a TV news job in south Florida. Twenty years of adrenaline rush in many different places and situations. I never stopped the still shooting and many skills developed in new easily transferred over to still photography.
In news, you strove for reality but you were always shooting what someone else wanted. Now I get to pick, shape, and share what reality I find interesting. I hope you enjoy my work and maybe get moved somehow too.
