Life is Art.. Art is Life
My name is Jadranka.
I live and work on the island Hvar /Croatia /, one of the most beautiful islands on the world. Although I graduated in law, that was not my path to take. Art is what my life dedicated to/painting, sculpture, music, theatre, literature... /. My formal education in painting comes from Assenza Malschule Basel, existing today as VASB /Switzerland /.
I owe a great deal to my professors and mentors : C. Blockey and F. Buchwalder.
I have exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions /Croatia, Italy, Switzerland.
Finally here is quote from W. Kandinsky., which best reflects my view of art:
"The true work of art is born from the "artist " a mysterious, enigmatic, and mystical creation. It detaches itself from him, it acquires an autonomous life, becoming personality as an independent subject, animated with a spiritual breath, the living subject of real existence of being. "
