Tuesday Winslow
About Tuesday Winslow:
My name is Tuesday Winslow, a Washington, DC native. As a child, my first medium was the (recycled) cardboard sheets. I do believe my passion for paper began before I was in my mothers’ womb. The decision to become a visual artist and the medium selection came from asking myself quality questions and putting certain criteria on the answers. Additionally, visits to the library and prior life experiences lead me to papier-mâché and the design elements which have followed.
For me, the papier-mâché is a 3d canvas. It exists for me to explore its possibilities for beauty and utilitarianism. The most thrilling thing about being a papier-mâché artist is I’m sure I have just scratched the surface.
I create the work to ignite others to seek what they can achieve with what they already possess. Works that bring wonder and joy to all.
